Scott,

AA will also be expanding service at FLL. On 1 May 2003, AA will offer a fourth-daily flight between Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood and San Juan. It will be flown with a 737-800, leaving Ft. Lauderdale in the late evening, overnighting in San Juan, in coming back in the morning.

Great !There will be a total of 6 daily roudtrips between FLL and SJU (2-flights operated by Spirit and 4- flights operated by AA) I hope we can soon add JetBlue to this list. Will AA increase its frequencies between MCO and SJU during the summer? they usually operate 4 flights during the summer but Im curious if this summer there will be a 4th flight.

Chepos,

Yes, there will be a fourth-daily MCO-SJU this summer. Starts the same date, 1 May 2003, also with a 737-800 on a similar rotation to the new FLL (overnight in SJU before the morning return).

BDL-SJU, however, will go from 12x to 7x a week after 13 June. And it does not look like RDU-SJU shined. It goes to 5x a week 2 March and is discontinued 5 April. It may come back next winter, but was supposed to be year-round.

Any news on PHL-SJU route. There was a 3rd daily scheduled a year ago, however it never happened and is still 2 daily. Also i noticed that the 2 flts are operated by 752's, normally its one 752 and 1 738. Are the 2 752's just an increase in capacity for the winter?

Im surprised to see BDL reduced to 7x a week -thats is a busy summer route with Puerto Ricans going up north to visit and vice versa. Im not surprised the RDU route is getting discontinued, they tried to emulate US Airways with their SJU-CLT route(very successful with connecting pax) but AA does not have the feed in RDU US has in CLT.

During peak seasons Us85 PHL-SJU has been operated 3x daily... in January there was an A330, 757, and an A320 (I think?) nonstop, and a 767 direct with a stop in CLT...

With time, FLL-BOG should do fine. 50%-60% is a very accepetable load factor for a new airline at a new airport.

AA flies two daily 777s on MIA-DFW.
