What's the story with terminal A at BOS? It's been leveled and signs say "Closed for Renovation." Are they going to rebuild it or is it going to remained leveled?

Hey Neil,

Terminal A is under contruction as we speak. I saw a drawing on a poster in Delta's offices and it looks very nice. Currently, plans are for the terminal to be rebuilt to a similar size as the original Terminal A, with a "mid-field" concourse built over by Harborside Drive. They have a scheduled completion date of 2005, but I'm sure it'll be later than that.

When I drove past it about a month ago, it really didn't look as if much work had been done. The debris from the building was still there!

I take it then Delta will the be sole occupant of said terminal?

BOS is currently the only airline to operate all of Delta's services (DL, DLX*, DLConnection, DL codeshare, and DLShuttle) so likely all of them will operate at this new terminal

You can see a nice drawing of the Delta terminal on the web site of the architectural firm that designed it:

Terminal A will also have the DL partners (AF, AZ, JM) in there as well, and there have been rumours that CO and NW will move in as well.

It looks pretty futuristic. I'll bet it's nicer than in the picture.
