This just in from KIRO-TV Channel 7, Seattle:
PUYALLUP, Wash. -- Two people are dead after a plane crashed into a house in Puyallup this afternoon.
Witnesses reported the plane was trailing smoke when it fell out of the sky.
Ed Troyer of the Pierce County Sheriff's Department told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the plane was an experimental aircraft.
Local fire officials said the plane landed in the backyard of a house just northeast of Thun Field, killing both people on board.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus says the plane crashed into a house; but local officials say it landed in a back yard and no one on the ground was injured.
Video from Chopper 7 showed firefighters spraying water over debris in a backyard. Black plastic covered much of the wreckage.

Press says some local homeowners want the airport closed cause it's a safety hazard. A local EAA guy rebutted, on camera, that the airport's been there long time and people have a choice about where they live prior to moving in. Way to go EAA....
