Hey, I'm flying to Palm Springs for Spring Break in a week, and on two of the legs, I'm flying a United Express/Skywest Canadair Regional Jet.

I've never flown a CRJ, or UA Express for that matter before, I just want to know how the CRJ is. If anyone's flown UE/SW as well, that'd be cool too.

My routing is:

St. Louis - Denver (UAL 737-300)
Denver - Palm Springs (UE/SW CRJ)

Palm Springs - Denver (UE/SW CRJ)
Denver - St. Louis (UAL 737-300)

I work them daily, I think they are clean and I think a lot of them are pretty new. I personally don't like RJ's, way to small of a plane. Low overhead, and small seats. It's one thing to cram yourself into a small seat on a D-328 for 25 min. But an RJ for 2 hrs? Now way. You'll have a good time in PSP.

I thought the Palm Springs spring break "experience" ended in the early 90s. Its a beautiful town though, but I always feel like the youngest person there.

Anyway, its a nice plane. My favorite thing about SkyWest is the snacks. Pretty good cookies. I fly their planes to cities in California quite often from Denver, and although I would rather take a UA mainline flight, it sure beats connecting in LAX or SFO.

Have a good time!
