One of the 2 CX LAX-HKG flights on 27/Feb got changed from a A346 to an A343 at the last minute. Unscheduled maintenance to the A346?
I know CX only have 2 346's right now and it takes both of them to operate 1 frequency to LAX so for some reason one of the 346's is out for unscheduled maintenance. Wondering if anyone at CX knows what happened
Surprisingly the substituted A340-300 has been weight restricted to 165 pax LAX-HKG (out of a capacity of 243).

I saw one of their -600s at HKG on Tuesday morning. It was parked remote with the engine cowlings opened. They had just towed it over to the remote spot, so i was able to get some photos as it taxiied past the terminal, but it did appear to be either on maintenance or undergoing a service check.

Lately the wind is not too favorable for the flights flying over the Pacific (from HKG to YYZ, for example). There are payload problem, and some pax luggage have to be offloaded due to the reason.

27 Feb
CX880 is B-HXF A343.
it's not surprising for the weight being limited as LAX- HKG ( no tech stop for this route), so the zero fuel weight has been restricted to a very low value. basically the plane cant carry any cargo and offload pax because of no tech stop and it's a A343.

New planes tend to have problems at first , I am sure we will see the bird flying soon . I dont think this will affect the 773ER and A346 decision through .
