I've never heard of this airline, does anyone have more information?!

Taken from Justplanes.com:

"Air Bourbon finalises lease of first aircraft (Mar02, 2003)
Air Bourbon, the startup airline planning service between Reunion Island and both Paris & Lyon, finalized the lease of an Airbus A340-200 from Airbus. The aircraft was previously operated by Air Tahiti Nui.

The only thing I've heard about them is that they are leasing an ex- Air Tahiti Nui A340-200. Why is Air Tahiti Nui getting rid of A340s????

UN_B732,

TN isn' t getting rid of the A340, they received just two new -300 series. Now they have a fleet of four Airbus A340-300.

Air Bourbon is a start-up based on the French island territory of Reunion. It is owned by local businessman Eric Lazarus, and has gained regulatory approval last December. It will serve both Paris Orly and Lyon, starting from the end of May.
