Just heard on the news about a new company in Belgium; BUA. Heard they would take over the Yerevan-Brussels-Los Angeles-route from VG. They would fly an A340.
Can somebody give me more info?
Regards,
Glider

Same guys as L-Air I presume. Those guys better just keep dreaming. I recently read an excellent article on them, guy behind them was involved in some fraud and spent time in jail over it.

I believe it's "Belgium" Universal Airlines, rather than "Belgian".
The full name nor the abbreviation "BUA" sound particularly striking.

The (possible) color scheme of their A340 (displayed during the TV1 news) looked quite attractive.

Mr Nikolai (BUA) talked about the possibility of so called "etnic" flights between Canada (YUL or YYZ) and India through BRU.

Indeed (they want 49% of the airline).

Mr. Philip Solomon, owner of L-Air holding in Montreal, is behind this project. He also tried to continue L-Air (Lyon Air) in France. This airline went bankrupted earlier this year. Still uncertainty about BUA's livery.

This Mr Nikolai was a good friend of Freddy van Gaever ( VG Airlines)
A great man ex sabena and a perfect head of the Cocpit Crew with VG.
A very expierenced pilot.

I hope he can have another start.
