Hi everybody,

the Boeing 767-3Z9 OE-LAY (to become D-ABUV; ex Lauda; c/n 28967/731) of Lufthansa was rolled out of the paintshop at HAM in the new Star Alliance livery. It is expected to depart to Vienna at 6:10pm today.

Oh, no, another 767....yawn.

LH, PLEASE, get those new jets soon. I cannot really see the 767 in the fleet...I wonder if they kept the amadeus class inside. Most probably they did. Way too expensive to change the interiors...

I agree with you , I rather see LH doing the livery on 343 . I wonder why they got the 767 in the first place . I thought the leased A332s are enough for them unless they are still short of planes .

The aircraft is due to be ferried to Frankfurt (FRA), not Vienna (VIE) as previously stated. Sorry for that!

I haven't been at the airport today, did it actually fly to FRA already?
Makes me wonder, as it won't enter service until end of month...

The 767-300 will fly FRA-PHL. Instead of the A330-200. Why i don't know.

Yeah, i dont know why the daily LH flights from FRA-PHL has gone from a 343 to a 6x weekly 763 in less than 6 months.

Livery looks much nicer now but I'd rather they set the STAR ALLIANCE letters in bold.

STAR ALLIANCE letters in bold would indeed look nicer IMO. Well are they facing (fierce) competition from US flying PHL-FRA with more frequency and a superior product onboard their A333s?

They are currently facing competition from US, but US only operates 1 daily flt. However many rumors have gone around that the 2 will either sign a code-share agreement or US will join Star.

Excellent airplane choice! OK, but slightly boring livery. Like many of you, I was wondering why Lufthansa chose the 767-300 ER for this route when they really are not a 767 operator; but hey! Its a great aircraft!
