Has anyone happen to look out there windows, and seen a massive six engine transport....
It's was originally expected to arrive in YYC, on Friday, and now it's delayed until Sunday. As of now though, it's uncertain due to a possible technical issue.
I'm wondering if anyone knows, when it may be comming to YYC, or just where exactly it is?

From what my co-workers told me today, it was at ONT

Slightly off topic here, but does anyone here know the current status of the second AN-225? I heard that the aircraft is partially complete, and Antonov is seeking funds to finish it. I think it would be very cool to have 2 AN-225s flying around. Regards.

Judging the nature of this thread, there should be a website devoting SOLELY to updating Mryia fans of where she is.
An An-225 tracking site would be most excellent.

Hey Mirrodie, us YYC'ers don't get any chances to see aircraft like this all the time. So maybe we go just a 'little' overboard with our eagerness to find out what is happening with it!
But enough of my defense of our desperate quest for information. Where is the plane? Anyone know anything? There should be a tracking sight devoted solely to the 225!

There are strong rumours that it will be in DUS/EDDL in some time. Something to do with Siemens...
They planed to have it there this saturday, but it was canceled.

On a different, but related note: Every picture that was published had the Russian Space Shuttle (dunno if it was every assigned a name or not) sitting on top of the plane. Since the Russians never launched their space shuttle into orbit, what ever became of it? Was it scrapped? Sitting/hanging in a musuem somewhere? Or just out in the elements somewhere? Was it a complete with avionics spacecraft or just a real looking concept? Did it even make an unpowered glider flight simliar the orbiter Enterprise when launched off of the back of the NASA 747?
