I was just browsing through http://www.airlinemeals.net and it is a very interesting website if you're wanting to browse through your favourite airline's meal offerings or even competitor's.
Anyway, I came across these two:
KUL - SIN in Economy Class. Meal type states as snack.
Submitter's comment: "Uh, they (SQ) dont serve ANYTHING except water or juice on this international flight. I really cant understand how people commend SQ for their product. I find this particular sector one of the worst in the world for such a brand airline."
Rating 1-10 (worst-best): -1 (if its possible)
HKG - CGK
Sumbitter's comment: "This is probably old news to you air-food professionals but I found it a scream. Days later, in Tokyo, I found a single hotel ammenity bottle on a tray in my hotel bathroom. I suppose it was shampoo, but it was labled simply, 'LIQUID.'"

SQ offers only water, juice, coffee/tea on the SIN-KUL sector, due to the lack of competitors, as the only other airline that flies this route as frequent as SQ is MH, and sadly, they only serve water, juice, coffee/tea too.
I remembered about 9 to 8 years ago, when both airlines offered at least a small bun or cookies on this sector, but I guess now it's all about cost cutting. I hope they can offer something more substantial though, considering the fact a return flight to KUL from SIN costs S$240. But maybe until the low costs starts to fly this route, we'll have to make do with such terrible 'meals' on this sector.
Another funny meal I got while flying from LHR to KUL on MH. I had made a special request for vegetarian meal a few days before the flight, and one of the meals had salmon for the main course!

The strangest I had was on Emirates in first class from DUB-MNL. The choices included jelly fish or eel.... I took the jelly fish...talk about absolutely disgusting! Who on Earth ever though jelly fish could even possibly be something to eat?

This is what I had on my ATL-SFO flight on Delta in July of 2002.
It wasn't strange, and it was hardly the best, but the person who took the picture said "the pasta was dry." I found that to be kind of funny because when I received my meal, my pasta was swimming in water.

I can't say it was funny, but it was quite unusual... Back in 1990, on a 767-300ER Transbrasil GRU-MCO flight, we got pizza! But the strange thing is the fact that the F/As actually built and baked the thing from the scratch on-board for all the 200 passengers! This crew never worked so hard...
