Starting June 9, United's Denver (HNL) to Honolulu (HNL) service will be upgraded to a daily 777.

Right now it operates on a 767-300ER on weekdays and a 777-200 on weekends.

I have heard that United is looking into starting DEN-OGG service sometime in the future. Most likely it would be seasonal however like the DEN-KOA service.

...and its AT&T Wireless Wi-fi Internet. Not Qwest.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I assume these are 772As... I'm glad the route is doing so well...

FWIW, it's a (planned) seasonal upgrade... which really makes no sense since Winter is peak into HNL.

Anyone know if these flights will be operated with a 2 class or 3 class 777? I know they only have 6- 2 class 777's. Does this mean they will be downgrading some other Hawaii service to 763's? Just a thought.

Ualisthebst,

These flights will be operated on the 2-class 777s.

Does this mean they will be downgrading some other Hawaii service to 763's?

No not necessarily.

The 2-class 777s do not only fly on Hawaii routes, but also on flights between hubs.
