Your best bet since you will be flying out of PHX is to check out America West or even Southwest for low fares. Not quite sure if Southwest has package deals, but America West does.

Just thought I would throw out a couple ideas.

Try going to the Dominican Republic. You can get great all-inclusive package deals down there and its a beautiful country and the people are really nice. Or you could take him to Providenciales, Turks & Caicos. That is such a beautiful, laid-back little island. Avoid Jamaica or Cancun. Too touristy. Oooh, or you could go to Dominica, thats a nice island too.

Do you get interline deals? You can try logging on to Perx.com if you do and get good deals there.

One word: CANCUN.

The end of May coincides with "Senior Week" for many high schools, and there are worse things than being surrounded by 10,000 drunk 17 and 18 year old cuties.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Besides, it fits the bill. Sun, fun, good food, good drinks, and unlimited nookie.

Have a great trip!

P.S. Walking up to strange girls in Cancun and saying, "Hey, that's my brother, and it's his birthday. Would you go up and give him a kiss?" actually works like mad down there!

And it usually leads to more than just a kiss for the birthday boy, too!

Damn! This is now twice in a row that I 100% agree with EA CO AS (I see a pattern beginning to form??)  Yeah sure. Cancun, while way to lively for my tastes (but then again, I;m in my mid 40's) would be perfect for someone your age at that time of year. Drunk cuites, lots of liquor flowing and the mantra of "what happens in Cancun, stays in Cancun", would make for a great B-day for anybody! Go for CUN!

Alright, I guess a gay boy shouldn't be giving a straight boy vacation advice. (But wait, maybe your brother is gay, you never specified now that I think about it.)

Anyway, I've laid-over in CUN and yeah it can be a blast. But I was under the impression that you wanted to impress him with a really cool, unique vacation. Taking him to CUN is about as cheesy as taking him to MCO. My suggestions are far better. Less drunken, obnoxious Americans. More charm. Anyway, let us know what you decide to do.

I don't know Kevi747, its kind of hard (pun intended) to beat (again, pun intended) drunken 17-18 year old girls, from a typically heterosexual point of view! Now his problem will be making this b-day so cool that it will be "hard" to "beat" next year! Big grin

Kevi-

I'm going to agree with my friend MxCtrlr on this one. While we're all equally capable of whipping out such beautiful, out-of-the-way Caribbean retreats, you have to remember the target audience:

A single, heterosexual 22 year old who wants nothing more than a good time.  Big grin

In other words, Cancun is just what the doctor ordered.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

And yes, what happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico!

Seeing as you're a fellow Arizona resident, why not head down to Puerto Penasco, Sonora (yep, good ol' Rocky Point!)?

The beach, the party, the drinking, and the women are all within striking distance by car. And besides, the money you save on airfare can be spent on happy hour at Manny's Beach Club downing some ice-cold Sol and eating fish tacos!

Well you said youve been all over the east coast.
how about the west coast again? (probably a bit far and /or costly) but either Malibu/ Santa Monica or San Diego come to mind for me.. (being an Aussie i dont have many ideas for US holidays)...

ooooooo and Bahamas sounds lush too  Smile

By the way, it DOES matter! If you or your borther were gay I'd say go to Provincetown. However if you're straight (ie.: like lame rap music instead of real dance music; chase slutty, white-trash girls; and drink domestic beers) you should definately go to CUN. But then why even leave the US? CUN's about as white-bread as you can get!

Take him to Dom. Republic! You'll thank me. Maybe he can meet a nice hispanic girl.

If you take him to SDQ he might catch more than a nice Spanish girl....

If you plan on doing the Caribbean thing I suggest SJU or SXM.

SJU has the best night life in the Caribbean and lots of nice girls....
SXM has wild nude beaches and good night life and lets not forget that
approach over the beach....

Kevi747, I'm straight and I can't stand rap music (classic rock - all the way  Big thumbs up, or some damn hot jazz like Dave Brubeck, Vince Gauraldi), drink LI Iced Teas, tequila shots or Corona's  Nuts and like chasing slutty white girls  Wow!. You make it sound like its something terrible?!?!?!?  Smile

jus lookin for a good ol fashion party scene, all the works, cool place, great food, lots a drinks, and the girls to match it all, so far, dom rep has been said, we did cancun last year for spring break, he is there right now on some mtv game show, so, old news, what else is new. how are the caymans, nassau, freeport, aruba, any of those, plus, think about the time of year we are going, maybe mid may, late june, so weather, is a factor. help

Late May is when the season ends in the Caribbean and the prices drop (usually around 15-May or so). I would go with SXM - exotic, nude beaches and a great approach (Maho Beach). The Bahamas are overrated (IMHO) but I've been there so often (as it's close to Florida), so I wouldn't do it. The Caymans are nice but its a slower pace down there - not what you're looking for. Aruba was nice but again, slower pace - same for the USVI.

Once again, I'm in agreement with MxCtrlr. If you've already done CUN, your next best bet is SXM.

Stay away from the Dominican Republic. I used to live there, and it's dirty, the people are corrupt, and the service isn't as good as you'll get at other all-inclusive resorts.

I have been to the Dom-Rep twice and had decent luck, but then again I'm a pretty mellow guy. Only problem I had was 2 months ago when airport security stole all of my rechargeables for my digicam as they claimed they were "not allowed" on board...grrrrr, still fuming over that. SXM sounds like a great choice of destination, I know a few people who have been there and had a great time.

SXM is GREAT, I fly there often with work.. Avoid PUJ at all costs, it can be a real pain in the rear end.. Honestly, Think of somewhere like Aruba, Cozumel, Montego Bay, or yes, maybe even Cancun  Smile

Good luck!

How about a cruise?

You can get an interline discount....

Dargal travel (an interline cruise agency) has cruises on Carnival and Royal Caribbean for as low as 199.00 for seven days including port charges....
