Today I was flying through ATL and noticed that there were these devices installed in the ceilings on the gate areas which appeared to be video cameras. These didn't look like ordinary video cameras, but they appeared to have two lenses each, spaced about an eye's width across. With such a device you could take 3D images. Does anyone know what's up with these devices?
Last year 1,944 New Yorkers saw something and said something.

That is Delta. They are participating in the new TSA ID scheme that uses face recognition to spot people on the watch list, suspected terrorists, etc. Interesting technology, but some folks are concerned about the whole idea.

I noticed these strange devices too. They were in Concourses A, and B from what I could see. I wondered what it was. I knew it had SOMETHING to do with Security. I think Gulfport Airport is installing these too, because they had all of the stands and wires on the wall, but the cameras were not there yet.
