Singapore Airlines Cargo Limited is to launch a once per week flight from Singapore to Adelaide with a Boeing 747-400F.
The service will start on 1 April 2003.
"In addition to the extensive exporters of fresh produce, such as meat, seafood, fruit and vegetables, the freighter will be ideal for South Australia's growing manufacturing industry, especially in areas of high-tech products which need to be moved quickly to Asia and beyond," said Singapore Airlines Cargo.
"The challenge now is to ensure our importers and exporters make full use of it," said the South Australian Transport Minister Michael Wright. He also said the state had worked hard to attract the airline.

It seems that Singapore Airlines has attracted a lot of new business from South Australia, their pax service will also be increased to four times weekly from October this year (may not be Oct, but really cannot remember, so if I'm wrong, please correct me, thanks).
