Hi,

There is the rumor that there will be today/tomorrow some kind of special flight of Air Canada A340 to Warsaw.
Does anybody knows some specifics may be.

Thanks in advance

A schedule Air Canada YUL-SVO would be nice.
-Transaero Boeing 737-200
Aeroflot pulled this route after 9/11. The government signed a mandate for Transaero to fly it, no news on that yet.

What now?

Know nothing about it, but it would be very nice to see AC 343 in WAW. I dont think WAW ever recieved any A340 service.

I'm not sure, but I read somewhere that a large Canadian trade delegation will be flying to different destinations around the world. Perhaps this is it.

Very doubtful...you may have heard about Air Transat getting approval for scheduled service to WAW...Although the likes of WAW, KBP, and SVO would be ideal for seasonal service by Air Canada, it would probably have to take the form of domesticly configured 767's (without international J class) The business traffic is still not high enough to warrent year round regular 767 or 340 service...It makes more sense for Air Canada to codeshare with Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Eastern Europe...AIr Transat on the other hand is ideal for the type of traffic that goes to Poland, Ukraine, Russia...I think they will be operating the 330 to WAW this summer...

That was suppose to be "one time event" with some official delegation.

Anyway, we will see tomorrow if it comes  Smile
