I hope to do SFO DEN MCO DTW JFK later this year

Which airline, in your opinion, and why,would be the best one to use?
Last time iused USAir and found them OK
So i have narrowed it down to Delta/American/ United and USAir.
Are there any others worth looking at?

If you are flying to DTW you want to fly Northwest so you can go to the new terminal (although you can on Continental too), but all the other carriers are over at the ancient Smith Terminal.

Sorry buddy, but these is now way you can do that intinerary on one airline nonstop. You could do it, but you would have to do in through multiple connections.

Don't believe everything you read about NW on here. There service is no better or worse than any other US domestic carrier. Fly them for yourselves to form your own opinions.

Try this...

SFO-DEN on United
DEN-MCO through ATL on Delta
MCO-DTW through CLT on USAirways
DTW-JFK on Northwest

At first glance, it appears that United will give you the most nonstops of your choice airlines. SFO-DEN and DEN-MCO will certainly be nonstop. MCO-DTW will likely be through ORD and DTW-JFK could be on United Express though IAD. If you do it this way, make sure you use a credit card for purchasing the tickets.

It needs to be one airline for the visitor rate flights,( i did SFO-BTW-MCO-PHL-YUL-PIT-DET for 500 dollars in 2001) Others offer similar rates. And i have no worries about segment flights.
Ref NW its just that the interiors and staff seem to be slated on here more than most.
But would like travellers opinions on the ones i have mentioned (other than USAir)

I’m a Platinum Elite with NWA and find their service to be very good (don't believe everything you read on a.net). But since I assume you’ll be flying in coach, NWA will not be for you. Personally, I’d choose AA (MRTC & excellent service, including meals and entertainment) but if you’re looking to fly widebodies, DL would be better.

I doubt they would be gone by then, and they have a great coach class with channel 9 and everything. Also, you will have a lot more non-stop flights with them and many will be on widebodies.

Your route will probably be:

SFO DEN MCO ORD DTW ORD JFK

To do as few airlines as possible and no stops in other airports...only traveling SFO-DEN-MCO-DTW-JFK...it takes two airlines.

SFO-DEN-MCO United Airlines

MCO-DTW-JFK Northwest Airlines

but I do recomend US Airways too...but you would have to stop most likely in CLT or PHL.

United is going to be a better choice for this itinerary. You should have the opportunity to fly on some widebodies between SFO-DEN and MCO-ORD continuing onto DTW..Enjoy the trip.
