SriLankan Airlines Suspends JKT During APR03

SriLankan Airlines will stop flying into Jakarta during month of APR due to the current "economical" situation. The aircraft will remain in SIN.

Don't know what UL is going to do after April 03.

Thanks for posting this? Could you tell me what this economical situation in Indonesia is? I can't think of any reason? Could it brought upon by Emirates?? Were the Jakarta loads good? I can remember that the flights from Jakarta used to arrive in Singapore at 1 am or so, before levaving for Colombo at 4am approx, using the A340-300

I wonder, with this additonal aircraft, what Sri Lankan would do? The fact that its only suspended, could mean that the route could be resumed at a leter date. Emirates is still flying DXB-CMB-SIN-CGK-SIN-CMB-DXB? I flew that route twice (only SIN-CMB legs) in 2002 and both times, the flight was packed to the max...

Well, that was the reason give but I think it is more due to the current political situation world wide.

UL314/315
As far as I know the Aircraft will remain in SIN

UL318/319
Don't think they get more time to use it on another sector out of CMB, even it returns earlier back to CMB.

Right Zizou, SriLankan Airlines have codeshare on both CMB-SIN-JKT flights and I think UL will still be able to sell on EK.
