SIA Increases SIN-MEL Flights 3x Weekly

Singapore Airlines is to increase flights from Singapore - Melbourne v.v. by three times a week according to Asia Pulse.

My school proxy has blocked the source webpage, hence I cannot provide more information.

Whoops, old news for SIA, new news for A.net I think.

18% capacity increase / 865 new seats a week.

"Our services to Melbourne commenced in 1972 and increased to double-daily in 1998. This increase provides more opportunities for Victorian tourism and for the travel agency sector which has been so supportive.

"SIA also acknowledges the support of Melbourne Airport, which is working with us closely to make these flights a success, as well as Tourism Victoria, which will continue its long-standing work with us to promote Victoria in overseas markets," said Mr. Stephen Forshaw - Public Relations Manager - Singapore Airlines South West Pacific.
