Everybody's on strike today in France (teachers, buses, trains, aircrafts, ATC, public transportation...).

It's that bad eh? No wonder my AirMalta KM146 is delayed. Now they are trying to reroute us. Probably via Spain as I assume the European airspace north of France is hugely congested. In that case I am expecting a 4hr 15mint flight. Not good ......

At CMF we had alredy ATC strike 10 days ago.

The AYC were complaining that there were too many ski charters in winter Week Ends.
Can you imagine ? 30 planes in one day (including the bizjets). That is too much for them. Big grin I'd like to see how they would do at CDG or even LYS

French ATC are offering 'minimum service' today meaning only pre-approved flights will be allowed to land/depart. Overflights are ok but are subject to heavy delay...UK/Spain flights this afternoon are showing upto 2hrs slot delay.  Sad

That's something I never understand! Going on strike for more money (I presume) is a financial disaster for every company or organization. How can they expect more money if a strike cost millions or even billions?
But I guess... c'est la vie!
