Bmi's Idle A330s - Why Did They Not Charter Them?

Knowing that bmi have always done charter work as well as there normal scheduled service, I have to wonder why they let the A330s sit idle at MAN instread of trying to charter them. I know the situation is not so simple, but is making a little from charter not better than letting them age silently?

Errr bmi don't have any idle A330s...
G-WWBM is operating the MAN-ORD route
G-WWBB is on lease to South African until May, when it returns to the MAN-IAD route
G-WWBD is also on lease to South African in full colours until December

The South African based A330s have been operating European flights to Paris, Milan and Frankfurt.

G-WWBD was idle for several months in 2001/2 after an early return from lease to Scandinavian Airlines, but G-WWBB/M have been in constant use since delivery...
