Never ever did an aircraft look so mean-spirited and dangerous as the Concorde in that pic!!

(But then, it´s the most-viewed Concorde pic on airliners.net.)

Absolutely, one mean machine, that.

And that shot was taken at Berlin, one more reason for you, Andreas, to like it  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Very tough choice, so many great pics of the most photogenic aircraft ever built, (if there was some way to record number of photos taken to number of aircraft built, Concorde would surely be the pictured ever).

As it is such a tough choice, and some excellent choices so far, I thought I'd be indulgent and have one pic for each year in service.

I didn't know it was operated into HKG. Was it a charter and where did i come from,Singapore ? Could it operate supersonic between the two ?

It was one of the many round-the-world charters. They have been stopped, since the stress imposed on the fuselage (GDB has a better explanation for this) by using the more rugged runways is too great. Not to mention the cost of having Concorde engineers at all the stops. However, that was when Concorde was still projected in use until 2007 (or was that 2009?). Perhaps AF and BA would do one last RTW charter before ending it?

Any decent stretch of water, (and northern Canada) was good for supercruise on the round the world charters.
Rod Eddington has stated that BA want to show Concorde off around the world before retirement, I take that as implying some kind of charters away from the usual Concorde destinations, watch this space.
As for unsurveyed runways affecting the upper fuselage crown area in the long term, not a worry anymore is it?

We got the Concorde in ROC in 1995 to drop off/pick-up the Ryder Cup golf team. Paul Road was packed with people to see her . I didn't get a picture, though.

As we are dealing with aesthetics, rather than business, here is a engineering aesthetic view from UK broadcaster, columnist and all round speed freak Jeremy Clarkson.
Bit sad that I'm using The Sun for a link, reflects the hostility to the aircraft from large parts of the UK press for over 30 years, in more recent times usually from hacks who've not blagged a freebie on it.
