2 daily 764 flights ATL-BOS-ATL as of the June schedule! This is great news! They packed in those full-size L10's...this was bound to happen sooner or later. Way to go BOS!!!
Also for the MSY fans in the house, looks like CVG-MSY is going all 732, with one CRJ flight thrown in for good measure, for a total of 5 flights in that market...most there's ever been.

Wow... so that's 2 764's to LGA and 2 764's to BOS. How many 764's does DL have, and are they now pretty much going to be in use for BOS, LGA, MCO and FLL?

All FLL flights to/from ATL for the Summer are 767's....300's and 400's...unbelieveable.
And the venerable CRJ makes an appearance on the last ATL-MCO flight of the day...interesting.

The 764 is a sweet looking plane, and one of the reasons for my many trips to SLC.

Try flying on a 764 from MSY to ATL when the aircraft uses only like 3000 ft. of runway and shoots up like a rocket. Granted, she only visits maybe once a month or so as an equipment sub, but that is just an a amzing sight, seeing her shoot straight up off the 7000ft. runway 1/19. I was lucky enough enough to catch a 764 on that route 2 years ago...what an experience!

I'm sorry to admit it,but here in ROC we'll lose all DL mainline to ATL,replaced by CRJ 200/700 Just think we used to get 3 727's a day..........

According to the Delta website, MSY is getting 8 flights to DFW this summer.
4x ERJ-145 operated by Chautauqua
3x CRJ-200 operated by ASA
1x MD-90 operated by Delta
My hometown, Jackson (JAN), just got 2 additional CRJ flights to DFW. Now there are 4 operated by ASA and one Skywest, which is excellent because the 3 CRJ's that were on that route were almost always full a week in advance! In addition, one of the DFW-JAN-ATL flights is a CRJ-700, which is its first scheduled service here. Of course, it's still overall a downsize when you consider that JAN-DFW used to be a mix of 727's and 757's...

Strickerje, I fondly remember DL 757's in JAN up until a few years ago...I think they flew the ATL-JAN-DFW route. Back then, they also flew oddball routes like MLU-PNS-ATL, and BTR-MOB-ATL. My friend used to fly the SHV-JAN-CVG flight when it was a 737-200. Damn I miss those days lol.
MSY-ATL is getting some flights downgraded for the summer...summer is slow time for N.O....as of June 1st the MSY-ATL route will look like this:

Well, I remember that back in the days I used to get the last flight of the day out of ATL into BTR and we always stopped in Montgomery. I remeber b/c there were F-16's that were usually parked there (which i thought was cool as a kid), and as luck would have it, I had the pleasure of spending the night there once as the plane had a problem as we left ATL and the pilot decided to keep it in Mont. As i remember the flight was about 15 mintues. Glad that flight is gone.

I remember many flights as a yungun to MLU or SHV from DFW or ATL via Montgomery and Huntsville...

In the eighties, JAN had DC-8's also. SHV-JAN's 737-200 flight was downgraded to a CRJ a few years ago before it was dropped entirely. They've also dropped the daily MD-88 from JAN-PNS. And, until about a year and a half ago, we had a 727 stop here enroute COS-DFW-JAN-BHM-ATL, which had been around for almost 20 years and was a 757 for part of that time. Ahh, those were the days...
Now JAN has no mainline service with any airline except Delta to ATL and Southwest to HOU, MDW, BWI, and MCO. It's nice to have Southwest here, actually.

It'll make it easier for me now to get on a 767-400. Right now, I am looking at a West Coast swing out of BOS in the summer, so a 764 on BOS-ATL will be welcome news.
