Ok, this is now more important for me to know than ever.

LGA traffic has been getting boring the last few years, with 727s being cut, and not as many heavies coming in.

I have been hearing about Song coming to NYC, and it would be important for that to happen because we could sure use another 757 coming into LGA.

But then I heard that mainline Delta 757s might be replaced by 737s so Song could have them. So if Song does not come to LGA, then there will be even LESS heavies at La Guardia.

Anyone know for SURE?

Anyone have a time and date for it if so?

SONG will be landing at JFK, EWR and LGA. this is one of the eventual selling points of SONG. I don't have a startup date for LGA yet, maybe one of my fellow Delta folks on the board have that info....

I know some 40 757s are going to SONG, but I believe the reason you are seeing more 737s is due to capacity cuts in the system. When I worked at MEM and MCI over the past month (transferred 2 weeks ago) we have had Delta Shuttles (150 Y seats) replace the 727 service.

At MCI (Kansas City) we get 3 shuttles a day from ATL, while the CVG flight has actually been increased from a 737-200 to a MD-88 as of April 8th....
