In U2's video for Beautiful Day, filmed at Paris Charles De Gaul Airport, the Lebanese carrier MEA is the only airline visible and its A300's and A310's are seen repeatedly throughout the video, landing, taxiing and taking off. Did U2 strike a deal with MEA or something?

The video was out a few years ago and I watched it many many times on MTV. You get a few perfect shots of the MEA birds.
I'm not sure though why they picked up MEA in particular and no other planes are seen in the video.

Well BA I saw the video just recently when I selected the song from a juke box. Maybe if you know where a juke box that shows videos too is, you will probably be able to find U2 Beutiful Day, as its one of the most popular recent songs in the world.

I noticed this as well. All the other airlines have names and obvious logos Photshopped-out, but MEA are present throughout. Of course most Airliners.netters would be able to name every other airline from the cheatlines, but MEA get a tonne of free advertising that isn't restricted to spotters. Very nice, thank you U2 (a band named, lest we forget, after a plane).

I never gave that much attention to the planes, due to the fact that I was in awe that they were taking off from a taxiway instead on actual runway. If you watch the video they are performing on a taxiway(Yellow Line). But I know they did shut down one runway to tape the video.
