Hi

Just figured I'd mention that Air Berlin is celebrating an "Air Berlin Day" in Moenchengladbach next week (27.04), and as part of that they are offering half hour long sightseeing flights around a few cities in the area with their Bae146 for 29 Euros, throughout the day. You can book the flights online (www.airberlin.com) and on the phone, as well as on the day at the counter.

I got that from the www.airevents.de forums.

Thanks for the info!  Smile

BTW - you have to select MGL as your origin AND your destination airport in order to book the flights with the reservation engine.

If you do take up the offer, don't forget to write some trip reports...

Anyway, I did not even know they had Bae146s. Pity they don't offer sightseeing flights in all their destinations - I'd love to fly a sightseeing trip around London in a Bae146...

Aha, so I´m not the only one frequenting http://www.airevents.de/forum.htm .

A very nice possibility to fly the WDL Jumbolino from MGL - unless one didn´t fly that plane to STN 4 weeks ago Big grin. I´m not in the area next weekend anyway, so I won´t see you there, Patrick.

Daniel,

until now I do not know if I will be there on sunday because I am not the biggest sightseeing flight fan but when I do not have anything better to do I will drive to MGL and enjoy a flight over the DUS area.

What altitude will the flights be at? It surely cannot be very high.

That is not possible, when I select MGL as my departure airport I can not select it as my arrival airport.
