Just want your opinion...:

I am flying to Greece in May and Finnair used to use their MD-11's also on this route.
Last year almost all holiday destinations (charters) were flown with B752.
This year I can actually choose becouse i noticed that they will use also MD-83's on the route.

Which should i take, B752 or MD-83?

B752's have 224 seats and they are very tight but they have somekind of flight entertainment. Also they are pretty new and quiet.

MD-83 is my favourite old workhorse. Also no legroom but spectacular takeoff and the good old noiselevel...

Also any ideal when Finnair will retire their Md-80 series?

Opinions are very welcome!

Why wouldn't you try one of those new Finnish airlines..? Support a private enterprise instead of a tired governmental organization. Might be refreshing, too. Don't they fly to Greese?

Finnair will be glad to know that, even after getting rid of all the politicians on its supervisory board, it's still seen as a governmental organisation. Big grin

I'd go for the MD83! Try to be seated in the front part, no engine noise, just great! And narrowbodies are both anyway...

Air Finland and FlyingFinn don't fly to Greece from HEL, at least not this year.

Besides, they operate the same aircraft, B752 and MD-83.

Anyway, I'm thinking of taking the MD-83 since it might be my last chance to fly them with Finnair since the Airbus family is replacing them.
