Ok I know Horizon and America West Express operate the Dash-8. But I realized that US Airways is the only top airline that uses the Dash-8. Did any of the other 5 major airlines operate the Dash-8 at one point. (And no I do not consider Southwest a major airline)

I believe that one of the Hawaiian Airlines (Aloha/Hawaiian) also had them at one point.

In the mid-late 80's into the 90's ACA operated DH8's out of the IAD hub.

In the late 80s and early 90s, America West operated their own Dash 8s, before the days of "America West Express". I was a Captain on them in those days.

Yup. Its Aloha's sister airline, Island Air. They still use 'em

Technically USAirways Dashes are flown by Piedmont and Allegheny... both wholly owned subsidiaries of the USAir group. Same deal with Horizon. America West's birds are operated by Mesa.

Mesa also flies Dash 8s for USAirways Express out of CLT and MIA.
Mesa / Mountain Air flew Dash 8s for United Express out of DEN in the 90s, and when Mesa lost the contract, they were sent to PHX to fly for Cactus.

Northwest Airlink / Mesaba had 25 Dash 8s

Air Wisconsin (for United) flew 8 Dash 8 - 300s in the early 90s, transferred to ACA I believe in the early days of ACA's ops. The -8s were replacements for the Fokker 27s.

USAir330-Southwest has over 250+ a/c in it's fleet and are more profitable in flying them 3/4 full than some of the other majors who are flying their 747, 777, & 767's less than 1/2 full. If that's not one of the criteria for a major airline, then what is? Have you taken a look at the so called majors ie: AA, UA, DL, etc. They are closer to where Eastern, Pan Am(the old Pan Am), & TWA are now, DEFUNCT, than Southwest will probably ever be. Just a thought.

United flew the Dash 8s past the early 90s, I recall seeing them in Denver in 96 and at ORD as late as 98.
