I also just checked the FAA's Aircraft Registration database, updated as of 08-Apr-03, and it shows no N698SS (it does show a 698SP and the next registration is 698SW), so it must have been registered after 8-Apr. Their next update to the database is 10-May.

Southwest Sports is the holding company for Tom Hick's two sports teams in Dallas. He owns the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Stars, but he is trying to sell the Stars right now. I don't know why, they are a much more successful team than the Rangers, that is for sure!!
I also have to wonder why he didn't get a 737 or a MD-80 with a two-man crew instead of a 3 man crew. This plane sits at Dallas Love Field a lot when the Rangers are in town. There is not a good place to try and photograph it though.
The Stars as far as I am aware of, do not have their own plane. Just the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Mavericks.
