Is the UA daylight flight to LHR from JFK, which operates as UA 976, gone forever? I know it was dropped as part of the schedule reductions for the war in Iraq, but looking at the summer UA schedule from JFK to LHR, only two flights operate, the UA 956 at 6:55pm and the UA 904 at 9:35pm. The daylight is gone. Why?

What about day departure from IAD to LHR? I am booked on that flight in June. Are they going to cancel the thing? When I booked there were about 75 % capacity in coach.

IAD-LHR is a very strong route for UA... I can't see them dropping the flight at this time.

United's international routes from JFK are now limited to two daily flights, one to LHR and one to NRT, each with a 777. A second nonstop to LHR returns in June, operated with a 767-300ER and departing in the evening. The daylight is gone.
United used to operate JFK to LHR up to three times daily and daily with 777 and 767-300ER's to GRU and EZE and A320/757's to CCS. The GRU/EZE flights were transferred to IAD. The CCS ended a long time ago.
United was never really big at JFK. It has eight nonstops a day to SFO and 7 to LAX and a few Express flights to IAD. That is all.
A JFK-SEA flight is gone now. As is a weekend JFK-SJU.

United also briefly operated a daily JFK-HKG flight, with a 747-400 and then a 777 from April 2001 to August 2001.
