I know who WILL NOT be going...pretty much any aircraft in the U.S. DoD inventory! Unless Rumsfeld changes his mind, expect a minimal representation by U.S. forces.

I booked a flight to CDG for July 21st but it seems that I have to cancel it because I`m doing a weekend trip to New York next month, I won`t have any money for an additional trip in July  Sad.

I wish I could go to the Paris Air Show or Farnborough (spelling?). Those are two big airshows I read & hear about. Is there anything like that in the US? I know of Oshkosh but that is mainly GA aircrafts, not airliners. I have being to a few air shows around town but they mostly display USAF aircraft. Maybe, just maybe I will win the lottery some day...

James that may be true, thats what you read about in the airliner papers, but there is no expirence like flying into LAL or OSH on Wedesday, you will never see so many aircraft in the sky.

I know myself I love the airshows at Sun n Fun and Oshkosh because it's always diffrent civilian acts. While I goto a number of airshows around FL that feature the bigname civilian and the various military acts, they get old becasue I have seen the act dozens of times.

I know that the USAF fighter demo teams preform the exact same act, whether the demo aircraft is a F-16 or an F-15. While the Blue Angels and Thundersbird rarely change their act too.

I'd love to go to Paris, but have to spend that week at the wrong end of Britain  Sad

(shame really, there's a TGV straight from Brussel Zuidstation to CDG)

Looking forward to the photos...

I'm going during one of the business days (alot better... notat all too crowded) as one of my dads good mates is an exec with eurocopter. I'm looking forward to it, i went in 2001 and it was great.

I may go, I'll have to see. EZY TLS-ORY and then RER sounds plausible, but so does a TGV from here to Gare du Nord.
Maybe Flpuck6 can hook up a ride? Big grin

Ah OK...
Why don't you just fly to Orly and then take the Orlyval+RERB ? it's even simpler...but more expensive...

I will arrive to Paris on June 20th so I will be in the show for the 21st and 22nd. I will be wearing a Mexicana Airlines white shirt and a dark blue Aeromexico cap.

Hope to see some of the great A.net photographers there. I will carry some photographs of local airplanes like Mexicana 727s (the last flights of these old birds  Sad in MXA colors).

BTW, I will be in a college course in Paris from June 20th to July 27th. Do you know any good places for spotting in Orly, Le Bourget and Charles de Gaulle?
