Doesn't really help much here in the thread but I saw them at MAD back in March. This picture was actually taken with me not far away...

As far as I know, Avianca also flew to ZRH. But that's already at least 10 years ago ...

Avianca flew to

  1. London :747-200 / 767-200/300

  2. Frankfurt : 707-300 / 747-200 / 767-200/300

  3. Paris : 707-300 / 747-200 / 767-200/300

  4. Amsterdam : 747-200 (only couple of months)

  5. Zurich : 707-300 (only couple of months-years)

  6. Madrid : 707-300 / 747-200

These days Avianca only fly to Madrid (767-200/300)

I really hope that they will fly more to Europe again!  Love
I think they still got their slots on London Heathrow, Frankfurt and Paris.

Don't forget FCO. They were briefly flying to Rome back in the early '80's. It's too bad they've scaled back their European operations. Hope they expand again. I also wish they'd get rid of those ugly Alianza Summa colors. Bring back the red!

By the way, does anyone know whether their merger w/ ACES has been successful? Has the Summa Alliance been able to stop the red ink flow?
