Whats the shortest and longest flight (times-non stop domestic flights) in one country you know of?
In the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland;
Shortest is Westray to Papawestray (Scheduled to take two mins but can take as little as 50 seconds on a god day!) Operated by LogainAir on bhalf of BA in a Britten Norman Islander.
Longest is inverness to London LGW. When the 146 is used it takes 1.45hrs. Operated by British Airways CitiExpress on behalf of British Airways.

The RAF operates regular flights from RAF Brize Norton to Mount Pleasant, Falkland Is (MPN) via Ascension Is. with a L1011-500. According to the great circle mapper, that's 12617km...
Tickets are readily available to civilians, and they have serious timetable and pricing structure etc: http://www.tourism.org.fk/rafschedule-1.htm so you could consider it like a normal domestic flight

Sorry, multiple posts... I had another eccentric idea
Whats the shortest and longest flight (times-non stop domestic flights) in one country you know of?
Quantas run "scenic" flights every few weeks in summer, ex Perth/Sydney/Melbourne; about 13 hours on a 744, out over Antarctica and back. If it returns to the same airport then it's certainly domestic, although the net distance is zero...

Argh! 4th post, sorry
I made a mistake - Aeroflot still do SVO-PKC nonstop with an A310; it takes 8h20m to cover 6762km according to Expedia, but the great circle mapper says 6803km. Hmm.
Still not as long as Continental's EWR-HNL service (7992km, 10h40m again from Expedia) with a 767.
My brain is too tired to think about ultra-short island-hoppers...

I can think of Continental Ex's Houston-IAH to Houston-Ellington Field (EFD) flight which I have flown a few times. The flight is around 8-10 minutes, from SE Houston to Far North Houston.

If a stop doesn't matter, then try the Air France and Air Tahiti Nui flights between CDG and PPT with a stop in LAX both ways.
