All that new gate space and a spanking new terminal at FLL and all they've added is Saturday service to MHT and BDL and a 4th flight to Baltimore. Maybe next round of expansion...

I am willing to bet that non-stop to Las Vegas and Phoenix from Manchester (MHT) will be next on Southwest's agenda now that MHT has expanded both of their runways.

MHT-LAS, daily, starts 10 September.

About time we got the LAS service here in MHT. Rumour has it that Southwest will be moving into the C concourse once it is converted to jetways in December, where they will have a total of four gates. Right now, they have 20 flights out of 3 gates (about 7/day), so I would only assume that more new flights will be coming with the new gate available to them. I wouldn't be surprised to see an announcement by the end of the year regarding MHT-FLL (since South Florida is a glaring hole right now at MHT, with WN's one weekly flight), PHX, and possibly RDU.

As for BDL...didn't AW used to serve BDL-LAS?

As to BDL, yes, but they cut it post 9/11. However, AW continues to do well to PHX from BDL.

I remember the day when MHT didn't even have 20 flights a day TOTAL, never mind 20 mainline jet flights by one airline. Kudos to Southwest for investing in Manchester, and I am so happy to see it paying off for them (as I understand that MHT is at or near the top in terms of load factor in the WN system). One would presume that WN will eventually want four gates at MHT, but if they go to the new 'C' concourse this would make their ticket counter move (which is in the whole other direction) kinda senseless? I guess we'll see.

Ha ha ha... I need to learn how to read. I'm still hoping MHT to Phoenix will happen. That might actually make me want to fly on SW. In order for SW to seal the deal there are three words that SW needs to pay real close attention to...

IN-SEAT POWER!!!

MHT to Phoenix is a flight that is longer than the battery in my laptop can last.
