Hawaiian Gets A Trustee

The bankruptcy judge ruled that a trustee should be appointed to run the airline, and CEO John Adams gets the boot. I personally think it's for the best, as with Adams still in control, there's no way we could negotiate with Boeing. Just too much bad blood between them.

I wondered what your thoughts would be on this when I read it. Glad to hear you think it's for the best, HAL. I'm certainly rooting for Hawaiian to come through this.

i'm pretty sure that HA will pull through OK even with a trustee. But the ball is now in Boeing's court to renegotiate the leases as they are the primary ones who wanted a trustee. Leases with ILFC and Ansett have already been renegotiated before the trustee decision came. Those leases are now pending court approval. I think if HA were to fold, a lot of people would hold Boeing responsible.
