Hi!
I'm doing a project, and I was curious if anyone had the exact numbers of aircraft currently flying in the following United mainline fleets:
A319-100
A320-200
B737-300
B737-500
B747-400
B757-200
B767-200
B767-300 U.S. Market
B767-300 International Market
B777-200 U.S. Market
B777-200 International Market
A few explanations: Both Fleets include are aircraft that operate under United's Maintence care so included here could be aircraft leased to other aircraft or aircraft being prepared for new owners.
The number of 733s, 757s and 777s that are stored vary almost daily. The 762s and 744s stored are more constant in numbers.
The two 737-200A listed as part of Operational Fleet are probably just reserve and don't do any actually flying or being prepared for sale to new owners.
As for 767 and 777 aircraft, UA doesn't list which are domestic or Intl, but here are the two class fleets of each type:
767-300 - 14 two class
767-300ER - 23
777-200 - 6 two class
777-200 - 16
777-200ER - 38
A last note; UA will increase flying in June with an additional 162 daily flights so most of the 733s, 757s, 762s and 777s will probably be back in service then.
Hope that helps

They are newer and therefore need less maintenence but also more versitile; can fly short flights as well as Transcontinental flights. The 737s don't have the range for Transcon. flights. This is just my guess; nothing official from United Airlines.

Here's a neat website with a great PDF printout of everything you want to know about the fleet. http://www.united.imkeww.com/
