British Airways DC-10 In World Tail Scheme?

No, I remember seeing one at Gatwick in a horrible grey drab - they were some sort of wave design, except in grey...truly horrible....

I work at LGW and saw a lot of the ex-BA DC-10's leave in 1999. All the ones I saw were in the basic Landor livery with titles/logo painted out. Never saw any in a 'wavy grey' design.

Airchabum is correct,none of the BA D10's were repainted into the current c/s.

I remember seeing in High Life magazine an illustration of a DC10 in the Waves of the City scheme, when it was featured in the aircraft of the month section. This must have just been for illustration only though...pity, it looked quite smart.

None of the BA DC10-s made it too the World Images paint scheme. Thankfully it saw only the Landor scheme and then was retired. Hated to work on them but they were reliable and ploughed the skies without worry. Glad they are gone and now its only 747-400s and 777s. There was something printed with them in World Images but thats about it.
