BA, IB and BMI offer pretty inexpensive flights to LHR (BA also to LGW). You should easily get a flight for under £100 incl. tax.

Air Europa also offers inexpensive flights to LGW.

try opodo.co.uk (I forgot the exact link... Eurofriends, help me out!)...

Opodo is almost like Orbitz in the US... very easy to use and sometimes cheaper than published fares..

Yeah, it's www.opodo.com. Currently, it is only possible to use it if you live in the UK (www.opodo.co.uk), Germany or, I think, France.

Yeah, it normally has good deals - incl. JFK for £166 return incl. tax.

Yes, try BMI and BA (Spanish site). Also try Easyjet, they also fly to Gatwick from MAD. Also, Aerolineas Argentinas (Spanish site) for MAD-LGW.

Given the location of Oxford you are best to fly to Heathrow (or Birmingham for that matter) as any air fare savings you may make to Gatwick, you could easily spend on the longer surface journey.

Cheers  Smile

I don't know if Opodo.co.uk can be used by people outside the UK. Also, I would be careful about booking tickets in other countries, sometimes they can only be issued in one country (that might be UK only).

I forgot to mention, Iberia have some decent fares too, log on to their site.

Contact Aerolineas Argentinas' Call Centre in Madrid. They've been known to offer fares as cheap at 59 euros return MAD-->LGW. They can be reached on 902.365.747 in Spain.

£86+tax? That's quite expensive, Mas777! How long is the trip? I did a very quick search (just used Opodo), and found one for £81.50 including tax (aboard Air Europa), departing June 6 returning June 9.

I think £86.50 + tax is a decent price- considering you are travelling with one of the world's best airlines.

Excellent choice

Big difference between BA and Air Europa... am also Exec Club with BA so a few points here and there but the main thing is I am working till late on 3rd July so will be able to check-in online at work then just head up to LGW (only 2mins) from home much later than usual.

Would have booked Club with BA miles but travelling with group of friends for weekend so would rather be in same cabin as the rest of the group (of course)!
