Year after year after year, Vancouver is the only Canadian airport rated in the first top ten airports in North America. This year is no exception. NUMBER ONE in IATA annual global survey. Congratulation to Mr. Larry Berg and his hard working team at YVR.

I too think YVR is a great airport. However I do not like the way they (and most Canadian airports) spend money like drunken sailors to make the decor around the facilities "world class"

Seriously do you know how much the Jade Haida statue costs? Airport Authorities are held accountable to nobody. They charge AIF just so they can make a claim to number 1, to have the most beautiful mural, biggest sculpture, etc. It is time for airports to be held accountable for their spending and where the AIF is going. Something that does not currently happen.

Well, the airports are run as non-profit, so they will spend all they make! I do see what you are saying for sure. However, well done YVR! Maybe other Canadian airports will learn a thing or two from you.

Great airport and well deserved. They did a great job with the new terminal and airport hotel. I live down in Seattle but whenever flying to Asia/India I try to make the flight out of YVR. I think YVR is the best pacific gateway in North America.
