Hey,
My friend in New York is going spotting with a friend at JFK. Everything is cool except they don't know the BEST way to get there using public transportation. They plan to leave from LIRR station in Jamaica and travel to JFK Airport via public transportation.
You guys are awesome at figuring out the cost by dollars and cents... Can you help us out? Spotting outting at risk...help needed

Here are some options:
New York Airport Service Express Bus to Jamaica Station; Sutphin Boulevard and Archer Avenue, Jamaica Station, Queens
(718) 875-8200
$5.00 Every 60 minutes
6:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Q10 Green Bus Lines to Lefferts Boulevard and Kew Gardens. Makes all local stops. Can connect to A,E,J,Z, and F subway trains.
Bus: (718) 995-4700
Subway: (718) 330-1234
Bus: $2.00 exact fare
Subway: $2.00
Cash, token or Metrocard required Every 15 minutes
24 hours
But you'll have to take the subway (E) to the Union Turnpike Station
Q3 New York City Transit Authority Bus to 169th Street and Hillside Avenue. Makes all local stops. Can connect to F subway train, and other local bus services. To catch the Q3, you would have to catch the F train at Sutphin Blvd. and Hillside Avenue and take it eastbound to 169th Street, or take the E westbound to Union Turnpike, transfer for eastbound F and get off at 169th.
Bus: (718) 330-1234
Subway: (718) 330-1234
Bus: $2.00 exact fare
Subway: $2.00
Cash, token or Metrocard required Every 15 minutes
5:00 AM to 2:15 AM
I think option 1 would be most convenient. And I am quite sure the New York Airport Service buses run every 30 minutes, not every hour, as shown above.
