I just read in the morning news that No. 2 Russian airline (1st this year in terms of passengers flown), Sibir, is launching no-frills flights starting at $10 one-way between Moscow and Nihzhny-Novgorod on Tu-154-M aircraft. Prices will range from $10 to $75 for business class. The article questioned whether the Tu-154M is economical enough to support flights at that price, but the airline, which has proved its mettle in other areas, has obviously thought this one through. I think drinks will be served, but that's all. I can already hear the jokes about Russian no-frills on a Tu-154M, but actually this is a great idea as this makes travel cheaper than or equal to the train, and of course saves many hours. It should be popular with many businessmen/women who can now make a day trip. I think Sibir operates from Domodedovo in Moscow. I hope this works out!

Wow, it's always good to see the development of Russian aviation. I hope they add more destinations too, it'll be great to be able to reach those out of way areas by plane cheaply!
