Why are all the 'new' business class seats starting to look like replicas of each other?

SQ, CX, QF, ANA all have similar looking seats!

PIA Needs to be consistent with its product. It should have the same or equivalent business seats installed on all its aircraft servicing long haul routes.

Of course, the seat definitely looks like SpaceBed. That's because it's made by the same manufacturer, Aviointeriors. The seats are based on the same seat model with minor customizations.

Wait till some kid (most likely a kid of a non-rev, or a kid of a minister's cousins nephews son) has peed/puked in it or wait till it is cleaned with a jaroo (a bunch of sticks held together with a string for the purpose of cleaning)--i'd like to see what it looks like then Big grin

On the serious side, PIA747 has a very valid point--all of PIA's long haul aircraft should be fitted for consistency--it would be unfair for a paid passenger flying on a 743 from NY to KHI not to have seats like that when the 777's enter service.

adios

I'm not impressed with Avio Interiors. They have already sold the SpaceBed to Dragonair.

For shame on them. Shame on SIA for letting this happen.

Makes me queasy.

Ha ha S_Air...

I've to agree with you, it's a shame to see the spacebeds getting reproduced for other airlines...

S_Air

SpaceBed is not SIA's product. It's a seat design from Aviointerios. All SQ did was to slap the SpaceBed name to it.

Correct me if I am not wrong, but I think SQ is the only Aviointerior 'Spacebed' customer that can claim 'the widest bed in the sky' because their version is the only one which armrests can recline to be part of the 'bed'.

I guess that is the most significant uniqueness on SQ Spacebed.

I am not really sure but does anybody knows if the others have NASA cushion like Spacebed does?
