I though at least the ZRH spotters might be interested to know that an Air Koryo Il-62 is planned to be in ZRH next Tuesday, 3rd June. Planned arrival time 15.05 hrs from Pyongyang and Moscow-Sheremetjevo, planned dep. time 17.05 hrs to Berlin-Tegel.

Don't know yet which one is planned... Happy shooting and cheers!

Interesting!

Do you know why this flight is coming to Zurich? Something to do with Mrs. President Calmy Rey's recent trip to North Korea?

Regards,

Any news about the Il-62 arrival? I plan to go tomorrow and I hope I will see the rare bird. Are there others members in Zurich?

It's still on! It should be shown as KOR721 (both in and out). Hope you all get it nicely! Cheers

Good luck and cheers

Parking position has changed now to open stand H11 (between Terminal 1 and runway 28, not favourable for observation deck view).

Unique,
Thanks for the great infos. I appreciate that really. Do you know, if the aircraft is delayed or on time? And also, what runway will they take for take off? 16 or 28?

Ok, the plane is here, it was slightly early, it will be slightly late for take-off due to en-route ATC slot (take-off between 17.50 and 18.05 hrs LT). Destination is Berlin so take-off runway is most likely 28 but could also be 16, depending on pilot's decision. Best to go to the afternoon position near Heli Grill. Good luck everyone (I'll be in the office till 19.30 hrs but I can see it from here nicely...)

It was a one-off flight only! The web cam is unable to see stand H11. Too late anyway, the aircraft has left and took off at 17.21 hrs local time...

Guys, there's a 2nd chance: it's coming again on Wednesday, 25th June, arrival planned at 15.00 hrs, departure planned at 16.50 hrs.

It's coming from Pyongyang via SVO and leaving to TXL via LUX (take-off probably again on runway 28, subject to winds/weather).

Good luck and cheers

Great to see them again at ZRH. A few years ago the flew in on a weekend. I think it was 618. Wonder what they will do. Might be a government flight, don't think it's freighter only.

Swissgabe, the airport slot was requested giving Freight as the reason. Whatever the reason is, main thing is to show up here...!  Big thumbs up

Unique
Well, they might shop "small" things. For big things I think they would use their Il76. But for sure, the main reason is that they show up here  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
