Hey all.

Curious, as I was surfing through some AC pics, I came across one in which the photographer stated that AC has 15 daily flights into LHR. Is that correct?! 15 daily?! Maybe he meant to say there are 15 daily flights between LHR & Canada? Frequency between LHR & Canada has probably decreased now because of SARS, but did AC operate 15 daily flights into LHR pre-SARS?

How many daily flights do AA & UA operate to LHR? I don't think each airline had more than 15 daily flights to LHR, but I never knew that AC had more daily flights into LHR than UA & AA.

Thanks
Hkg82.

Why is it so much of a surprise? Canada and Britain have a long relationship, obviously, and there are many Canadians of British descent living in Canada, not to mention the business connections.

The UK-Canada market is huge, tourism, trade, business, family ties etc. AC is huge at LHR, it's the 3rd or 4th largest international carrier at LHR.

It wouldn't surprise me to see VS return to Canada, but not in the near future. Once things rebound, it is likely to happen.

Most Canadians are of British descent so it's not surprising. All my father's side of the family live in Canada after my grandparents moved over from the UK over 50 years ago.
I also wonder how many PIA and AI passengers connect per day at LHR onwards to YYZ.

AF Is not that far behind 22 flights a day! Glad to see AC does so well at LHR, I have seen that list before - but now it seems more interesting.  Smile

That's just London traffic as well, when you consider all the flights two and from UK regional airports from/to Canada.
