A KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Boeing 767 made a successful emergency landing at the airport of Budapest. There were some problems with one of the engines. The aircraft landed safely, no injuries but the passengers have to stay in Budapest for 1 day before continuing there flight to Amsterdam as there is no back up aircraft available.

KLM flies 5 times a day to budapest and has good corporation with Malev.
I am sure they will fix something to limit damage to the passengers.

Was the B763 operating AMS-BUD-AMS or, as I presume, elsewhere?

It was not a KLM B767

IT WAS A TRANSAVIA B737 with a engine problem

It was flying from AMS to Somewhere in Turkye
It will leave tomorrow (they hope) from Budapest

OK, that makes it a charter. Cheaper to put those people in a hotel than fly out an aircraft for them...
Spares for the damaged aircraft can indeed be flown in on a regular KLM or Malev flight if not available on site.

I wish I were flying
