I am going to this Aviation Camp that is at HOU and I decided to try out a really neat airline trip to celebrate me going down there(when I get the ok, FAA medical, and the grant). Now when I found some cool flights besides Southwest and AirTran I saw two I liked and stuck with them, AA and DL had some good planes and flights there for the same price range the $360 range(I know it's a lot but I think I want to ride there since it's a great thing this guy did for me).

Here is the flights for Delta
FLT 2125 767-200 ORD-ATL
FLT 765 737-800 ATL-HOU
FLT 4151 CRJ-200 HOU-DFW(by ASA for both)
FLT 4879 CRJ-200 DFW-ORD

Here are two choices for AA
FLT 2301 ORD-DFW MD-80
FLT 3797 DFW-HOU CRJ700
FLT 3760 HOU-DFW CRJ-700
FLT 66 DFW-ORD 777-200
Or for the returning trip
FLT 3796 HOU-DFW CRJ-700
FLT 2364 DFW-ORD MD-80

How are the CRJ both 200(ASA) and 700(AE), DL's 737-800's and 767-200's and AA's MD-80's? I rode on Midway's DC-9-80's and AA's 777 before.

Pick AA -- MRTC (more room throughout coach) and a B777 on your return... the RJ is only a short hop, and the CRJ-700 is pretty cool -- but avoid the RJ for the longer trip. DFW-ORD should NOT be operated by a RJ...

I'd fly the airline that best fits your schedule for the price.

Fly Delta, you've flown the 777 before, the 767-200 should be nice, they're getting kinda old so fly em' while you can.

It's would be a dilemma for me too.

Reasons to select DL:
1. Delta is a Sky-team member (so I can earn miles in my FTP. I'm not a One-pass FT).
2. I prefer bigger planes, however CRJ are ok for me.
3. Prefer DL service.

Reasons to select AA:
1 Fly in a B777

I have flewn in both DL and AA from Mexico to the USA. In the past I travelled many times from MEX to BNA by AA and CO. I prefered CO because of the service even that AA was cheaper. I flew on a DL B767 from LAX to SLC and I liked it so much, I got a window seat which is important to me when flying on a widebody airplane.

That is a hard choice. Of course with AA, you get a 772, but you said you've flown on one of those with AA before. I think Delta's domestic service is fine. If it comes down to thinking about their CRJ, they are really not as cramped as you would expect from a regional jet. I flew one from ATL to ICT on ASA. That route was just over two hours, so on the longer end of routes served by that plane. The legroom surprised me because it was larger than I expected. The only problem is your neck will hurt if you look out the window a lot because the windows are lower than most people's heads, but that is probably the case on most regional jets. It's a great plane though. Enjoy either itinerary!

I'll try American. it's been a while since I've been on a 777 but I want to try on AA again too since It's been a while since I've been on them and also I planned on coming down to visit someone and I found something from AA and later on I decided not to go. Now I can try that again.
