is this to be a government-sponsored venture, or a private one?

Oh ok, yeah it's a private venture and i don't think it would be the same mistake as khalifa...the guy who's creating the airline is a real business man associated to an former airline pilot and have the gov support ...i hope it will work out

After Khalifa, we all seem somewhat skeptical, understandably.

What routes are they proposing to fly ? Seems to me Air Algerie has covered the routes from Algeria. Doubt there's any need for longhaul routes from ALG since Air Algerie would have started them already.

Let's wait and see what happens.

Need a Boeing 777 Firing Order....Further to fly....CI, MU, LX and LH 777s

I agree with you , nothing could be sure for now...but Air algerie doesn't cover all the routes that khalifa had....it left more then 1 million pax and Air algerie doesn't have enough airplanes to satisfy the customers....beside the guy who's behind this new airline is well known ,he's the one who settled the biggest Coca-cola manufasture in algeria and other stuff ...
