What Can DEN Expect When New Runway Opens?

The question is simple, yet so complex. Yes, some airlines might send larger planes, but how about new business in DEN. Anyone have any ideas?

With these turbulent times, will anyone want to add new service to DEN?

Honestly I don't think you should expect very much. I don't see any new European airlines, and no Asian carriers are expanding. If DEN can handle a full LH A340 with the old runway, I think anyone who wanted DEN got it! Just my opinion.

I think AF service to DEN is a possibility, maybe with a 343 for starters. I can't see any Asian carriers starting service to DIA until the economy really picks up in the DEN metro area. Maybe in 4/5 years we'll see a nonstop DEN-NRT...and even that's pushing it. DEN really has a nice variety of carriers at the present time....gotta appreciate LH upgrading to 744 on the FRA run.
