I was just wondering how is Canjet doing after almost one year back in operations after the collapse of Canada 3000. How are the load factors, Customer satisfaction, and futur expansion plans. And will they be putting the next generation 737 in their fleet soon!

I believe they are doing fine, they just got the 6th aircraft. They are expanding slowly. Other than that, I don't know.

There are no firm plans to move beyond the 732 fleet at this point.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

I don't imagine them adding any more planes beyond the six, ALL of which they have had leases on for this whole time, if I am not mistaken. In other words, their 'expansion' so far has simply been to get to the point where they could use the six planes that they are already paying for.

Unless my understanding of this is very flawed (may well be), if it has taken them a year just to get to the point where it is economical for them to be using all six of the planes they were ALREADY paying for, it is unlikely that they are really making any money, and therefore even less likely that they will expand further. I hope I'm wrong, as I do quite like Canjet, but I just don't see any reason to think that they're doing all that well. My guess is that, like it was before C3 bought them out, this is a loss-making operation.

I can't remember when the leases are up on the 732's, but I think it might be next augut. (Someone, please correct me.) If so, i'm afraid it would not be all that unlikely to see the planes go back then. In other words, I think canjet may just voluntarily end itself. I hope I'm wrong!

Any more insight on this possibility?

Next flight.... who knows.

Hey there,
Canjet is doing very well. It is pretty much the choice of the Eastern proviences. the YYT YHZ YYZ run is operating pretty much full each flight. Customer satisfaction is outstanding. They have comment cards in each seat pocket for each flight. They actually listen to the customer and have put on healthier snacks. If I am not mistaken I think they have put on salads. Could be wrong Smile
They are making a good deal of money. They have practically pushed Jazz out of the YYT YHZ run. I think they have a good chance this summer of keeping most passengers on the east coast. Mind you I think JetsGo will be their biggest threat. Now there is a company that I don't understand, how can they be making a profit with their promotions and discounted prices all the time????
Canjets fleet plan before the take over by Canada 3000 was to replace the 737's with 717's. Not sure as to what they plan on doing with this plan with this Canjet.

Hey there,
Well I guess that I was wrong on that one, But that was earlier in the year and I had a reliable source from Jazz, A relative of mine works there and she said that Canjet was doing a number on them. Must be changed for the summer flying?? I dunno  Smile
