Well look at this, here I am in Helsinki, Finland and Finnair announces the resumption of service to MIA. Finnair will operate MIA-HEL starting 23 October 2003 with two flights a week on Wednesday and Saturday with MD-11 aircraft. Great news for Helsinki and Miami, home to America's #2 Finnish community and the #1 US destination for Finns. Plus a new trans-Atlantic link for oneWorld.

Can't wait to spot another MD-11 (a rather new one at that) at MIA!! But great news for Miami's Finnish population (which I was not aware of) and MIA. Are the Finns concentrated anywhere in South Florida?

Personally I think they should have made the flight a bit earlier to connect to AAs late afternoon (5pm or so) bank to central america and the caribbean.

But anyways, nice to see AY back in MIA.
