The Ghana DC-10 has been a regular visitor to LHR for 20 years now, even I remember when it was new to them!
It seems that the airline is in big trouble, some of our older guys remember building VC-10s for Ghana when they worked at BAC, now like many African carriers they are on the edge of collapse.
Any on here ever flown on Ghana?
This article appeared last week, seeing the Ghana DC-10 land yesterday reminded me of it; http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/2978026.stm

I am a South African travel agent and can tell you their
constant time changes within West Africa are a nightmare
I avoid them where I can but it is not always possible.
A prime example was Accra/Freetown on one Saturday in March which
connected with the SAA flight from Johannesburg.Three days before
flight cancelled-next flight the following Tuesday.I dont think they will
last long as they are struggling to do the West Africa network at the
moment.

That's unfortunate, hearing about that reminds me about BWIA and its own near brush with death. Hopefully it can be saved or else it may go the way of Air Afrique, Nigeria Airways, Ansett, Swissair, Sabena... to the grave.
